Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Architect - Project Manager at HFG Architecture. The role involves tasks such as expediting project processes, managing logistics, overseeing inspections, and leading project management initiatives to ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsabilities:
1. Architectural Design: Lead and participate in the architectural design process for healthcare projects. Develop conceptual designs, space planning layouts, and 3D models using computer-aided design (CAD) software. Ensure that designs adhere to healthcare design standards, regulations, and best practices.
2. Project Planning and Management: Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to understand project requirements, goals, and objectives. Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets. Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, and contractors to ensure the timely and efficient execution of healthcare projects.
3. Code Compliance: Stay up-to-date with building codes, regulations, and healthcare industry guidelines relevant to healthcare facilities. Ensure that architectural designs and construction documents comply with all applicable codes, including accessibility requirements, life safety regulations, and infection control standards.
4. Functional Space Planning: Work closely with healthcare professionals, such as doctors, nurses, and administrators, to understand their specific needs and workflows. Design functional and efficient spaces that optimize patient care, staff productivity, and operational efficiency. Consider patient privacy, infection control, and patient and staff safety in the design process.
5. Construction Documentation: Prepare accurate and detailed architectural drawings, specifications, and construction documents. Collaborate with engineers and other consultants to integrate their designs into the overall project documentation. Review and approve shop drawings and submittals during the construction phase. Provide timely responses to questions as they arise during construction.
6. Quality Control and Project Coordination: Conduct thorough quality control reviews of architectural designs and construction documents to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance. Coordinate with internal teams and external consultants to resolve design conflicts and maintain effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
7. Client Communication and Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders. Communicate project progress, address concerns, and manage client expectations. Provide clear and timely responses to client inquiries and ensure client satisfaction.
8. Industry Knowledge and Professional Development: Stay informed about emerging trends, technologies, and advancements in healthcare architecture and design. Participate in professional development activities, such as industry conferences, workshops, and seminars, to enhance your expertise and knowledge.
